Social Enterprise

Bistro Cafe is Mano Amiga's social enterprise and livelihood program that aims to provide personalized cafeteria experience to customers and patrons. We employ the parents of the Mano Amiga students and 100% of the profits of Bistro Cafe goes directly to the scholarships of the students.

The Bistro Cafe

In 2012, the school started its own social enterprise called Bistro 3846, a cafeteria business that donates 100% of its profits to the Mano Amiga scholarship fund. This business was created with the awareness of establishing an additional, steady source of income for the school without solely relying on donations.

"Bistro Cafe in Mano Amiga's new campus in ParaƱaque City will not only include a kitchen and a cafeteria for the students, but also a livelihood center open to all individuals within the community who can dine and taste the Bistro's specialties.
As of January 2016, the unemployment rate in the country is 5.8%. As its main advocacy of bringing sustainable livelihood to individuals from low-income families, Bistro 3846 is committed to offer not only healthy meals, but also offer basic employability skills training to help alleviate unemployment in the best way that we can through the kitchen and livelihood center."
