Celebrating Love, Faith, and Kindness: Mano Amiga’s 15th Anniversary
The past weeks have been a testament to the unwavering commitment and dedication of our beloved community. From engaging field demo performances to heartwarming gatherings of past and current faculty and staff, we have truly showcased the strength of our bonds.
And finally, on October 4, we came together to commemorate a significant milestone in the journey of Mano Amiga - our 15th anniversary. From a heartfelt Thanksgiving Mass to inspiring panel discussions with our remarkable students, '15: On A Mission' was a celebration of love, faith, and kindness.
Kindness that Goes Beyond
One of the highlights of our celebration was the honorable recognition of Ambassador Laurel as the Chairman Emeritus of Mano Amiga. His dedication and consistent support have been instrumental in our growth and success, and this recognition was a token of our deep appreciation.
Our celebration was graced by the presence of members of our Board, corporate and individual partners, volunteers, and supporters of Mano Amiga. It is their acts of kindness and unwavering generosity that have fortified our mission, enabling us to extend our hand further and touch the lives of our students and their families.
Community Built On Faith
Our Mano Amiga Ambassadors Sophia Diaz and Clark Dino took the stage to express their gratitude and share a message of unity. They reminded us that Mano Amiga wouldn't have come this far without each and every member of our community. Their call to work together to make our school an even better place resonated deeply with everyone present.
A captivating panel discussion featuring four Mano Amiga students - Mikaela, Noah, Zach, Denise - was a highlight of our celebration. Their insights shed light on what makes our community unique and truly impactful – a supportive and empowering environment with a strong faith in everyone's potential. Students shared that learning at Mano Amiga is dynamic and holistic, where they not only receive knowledge in academics but also actively engage in learning and improving themselves spiritually and emotionally.
“I hope that Mano Amiga keeps doing what it’s good at, just being a community, a really nice community where you can interact with others and feel no pressure. And I hope Mano keeps developing as a whole.”
“My personal mission is to go to med school and become a doctor. That could really help me support my family which Mano helped me learn about and discover.”
A Journey Rooted in Love
The essence of Mano Amiga lies in its love and passion for uplifting communities through education. Ms. Lynn Pinugu, our Executive Director, delivered closing remarks filled with hope and inspiration. She encouraged all of us to strive to be the best versions of ourselves each day, emphasizing that it is the best way to repay the kindness others have shown us. With conviction, she reminded us that Mano Amiga's story has always been one of love, faith, and kindness.
In '15: On A Mission,' we celebrated not just 15 years of Mano Amiga but also the countless lives touched, the dreams nurtured, and the love shared within our community.
